Images of the world

Read the text below (left) before carrying out the activity.

What shape is the world?

Often in geography we are used to questioning with our pupils different map projections. Go to the BT Internet website, where you will find an intriguing manipulation of the world. This website could be fun to explore with your pupils. BT Internet

Often we challenge pupils to question the source and bias of images and texts that they use in their geography lessons. How often do we challenge them to review how images of the world or globe are used or manipulated to give a perspective on the world? Now carry out the activity on the right, which focuses on different images of the world.
