Click on the Text icon and read the first extract, 'Geography' (Hartley, 1816, p. 28, quoted in Graves, 2001, p. 25), which contains information and questions from an early nineteenth-century geography textbook. Then look at the second extract, 'Peace is indivisible' (Midgley, 1949, pp. 92-3, quoted in Graves, 2001, p. 101), which focuses on peace and a cartoon from the 1940s.
