Planning for the global dimension in the curriculum
This section will help you explore ideas on how to incorporate the global dimension into teaching and learning. It will also give you an opportunity to examine what your school is already doing and how new opportunities could be identified.

Carry out Steps 3-5 of INSET Activity 3 in the 'Developing global citizens' section of the IBT website. You will need to open the pdf at the bottom of the screen, 'Are we doing it already?' (IBT, date unknown). INSET Activity 3
Then go to the National Curriculum online website and look at the non-statutory guidelines for Key Stages 1 and 2 for citizenship and PSHE. Using statements with a global dimension identify how global citizenship relates to what you are already doing and what further opportunities in the curriculum there are for the global dimension.
