Evaluating classroom activities

To conclude this unit we return again to the model which identifies learner objectives and outcomes for developing global awareness. Consider briefly the effectiveness of the classroom activities you tried. The following questions may help you evaluate the activities.

  • What do you think the pupils have learnt in terms of knowledge and understanding, skills and action and values and attitudes identified by the model?
  • What has not been addressed or achieved through the activities?
  • What have the activities revealed about successful and less successful teaching and learning styles?
  • Based on this assessment, what focus could future classroom activities on the global dimension take to further address pupils' knowledge and understanding, skills and action and values and attitudes?

Now complete the activity on the right.
