Reviewing progress
The theme of this unit is reviewing progress in bringing the global dimension to the curriculum, celebrating achievement, and planning and preparing for further staff development. One of the keys to this is communication and sharing challenges and successes.
In the activity on the right you will hear a teacher in New York and a teacher in South Africa talking about their challenges and successes, albeit in different kinds of learning environments. Hearing how educators work in different circumstances and in different countries can be a stimulating way of getting beyond the confines of the four walls of one's own classroom. The similarities of teachers'concerns, no matter where they are, can sometimes be surprising.
